The Entertainment Zone
The Entertainment Zone is an extremely comfortable living space with all the amenities that can be expected for entertainment or relaxation. The room was completely remodeled in 2009 with brand new furniture, new floors and beautiful tropical plants.The Sony Stereo system in the Penthouse is the most powerful stereo that is available in Colombia. It has six large speakers that are literally capable of shaking the entire Penthouse. The stereo includes an Ipod connector so guests can connect their favorite tunes directly to the sound system. The system also includes a 6-CD changer for those who are still using CDs. Local music, or popular Reggaeton, can be purchased on CD very close to the Penthouse for as little as $1.50 per disk. Additionally, Ipods or Iphones with WiFi capabilities can be connected to the stereo system to play music live from the Penthouse's high-speed Internet connection.
There is a second balcony connected directly to the Entertainment Zone that has incredible views of the Caribbean Sea as well as the beach that is located directly below. Above the balcony's glass doors is a 42 inch flat screen television. All windows in the Entertainment Zone have blue thermal heat film that blocks out the intense midday sun and at the same time creates a slight blue glow in the room. When light reflects on the thermal film it turns dark blue on the outside which prevents anyone from seeing inside the Penthouse while still allowing the guests to look out.
The Entertainment Zone has a super powered mini-split air conditioner that is capable of cooling the entire Penthouse. Mini-splits are virtually silent since the compressors are located on the roof of the building. The guests can set the desired temperature with the remote control and the computer will automatically keep the area at the exact requested temperature without needing any further adjustments. Although the Entertainment Zone's one air conditioner alone can cool the entire Penthouse there are four other mini-splits allowing each guest to independently control the temperature in each zone or bedroom. There are also remote control fans in each room and all bedrooms for those who do not want to use air conditioning.
Located adjacent to the Entertainment Zone is a small LCD monitor that connects directly to a camera located in the main reception of the building. This is a private closed circuit camera that is only available to the Penthouse and not the to the other apartments in the building. The doorman in the building always calls the Penthouse when someone arrives in reception. Guests in the Penthouse Colombia can use the LCD monitor to see who is in reception before allowing someone to come up to the Penthouse.
