The Colombian Hot Tub Story..........
Importing a Hot Tub into Colombia is not an easy thing! First of all, no one wants to ship one from the US. I emailed every dealer I could find and they were all a little "too busy" to ship one.
Finally after 2-weeks of searching I found someone who would take my order.
After the Tub was shipped by "The World's Shittiest Shipping Company" it was lost for 6-weeks. During these 6-weeks TWSSC could not tell me where it was, when it would arrive, indeed, the rep from TWSSC (who claims he is the president of the company) would not even take my calls when he saw the number on the call display. I then called him from another cell number, and he answered, and said he did not know I had called him 100 times in the last hour?!?!? I said, "you know what Andre?!?!?! I THINK YOU ARE THE WORLD'S SHITTIEST SHIPPING COMPANY!!!" And he said "well yes, maybe we are!". So there you have it! Right from the so-called President himself!!
I then had to fill out 16 pages of paperwork because TWSSC does not actually handle the importation?!?!?!
No one was happy with my 16 pages of documents even though I spent ALL DAY in the Chamber of Commerce and the Notary......
I could explain for several pages all the BS in paperwork I went through, but lets just say 30-40 hours of my time was needed to clear customs.
Taxes are a whopping 32% and shipping was not cheap. Total cost of the Spa has now almost doubled from the original purchase price!! And it is not on the roof yet!
